Interesting. I was perusing my web server logs, and I noticed that a search for straight pride on Yahoo’s image search currently brings my straight pride flag up in the second row.
Anyone who stumbles upon that may wish to find my original straight pride blog entry, too. That was quite the discussion!

Is it worth pointing out the irony that you posted this entry about the straight pride bumper stickers immediately after posting an entry about a grumbley bumper sticker?
I don’t see the irony. I’m fine with bumper stickers.
Hmmmm, given that the point or reasoning behind the two stickers doesn’t relate ironically or otherwise… no.
kevin’s right, this is ironic.
If I’m a gay democrat, you have in two posts told me that a) if I have a democratic sticker on my car I’m a moron because that is so not the right way to push your beliefs into the public sphere, and b) despite the fact that homosexuals still face a ton of discrimination from the religious right and homophobic public (seperate groups, mind you), you’ve decided that straight people need to feel better about themselves by having a straight pride flag.
Way to continue to divide the country along us and them lines.
Habib, I understand that you may not have seen the most important comment on that entry because it’s completely buried in all the other comments, but it’s completely crucial to the entry. It was posted by me on June 1, 2004 at 11:41 PM, and it actually finishes the entry. The entry by itself is incomplete since I didn’t reveal my entire line of thinking in the entry.
Please do go back and read that comment. It’s about 4/5ths of the way down the page (currently).
I don’t agree with you. You’re a priviledged, straight, white male, and I’m assuming you come from a middle to upper class upbringing. In other words, you and yours (including me) run the world.
If you want to make a t-shirt or bumpersticker that reflects this truthfully, and that you can wear with the pride you seem to be set on showing, put this slogan on it:
You don’t need a t-shirt (bumper sticker) when you rule the world.
That’s very revealing habib. More of you than of me.
