Pod Invastion

It’s like two of my favorite worlds have collided! Stimuli overload!

For some reason, this makes me think of that old Reese’s commercial.

(Update: Bingo.)

Josh, that Reese’s Peanutbutter Cup clip is awesome! The funny thing is that I am on a public Mac and the sound wasn’t turned down and it started blurting out about that beautiful marriage of chocolat and peanutbutter stuff over the whole lab. Nice.

The iPod in the new Beatle, huh? Why not an iPod in a Ford Explorer, crew cab, short box??? WHY???

Anyhoo…it looks like they have a holding device right next to the manual shift. What if you accidentally tried to shift with your iPod? It just seems like an akward place for it. It think I’d wait until they put it somewhere a bit more intelligent.

Also – do I see that it’s cordless??? You just drop it into that slot thingy??? That’s awesome! So, just put it on the dash and stick it in a cool truck and I’m sold!

For the benefit of everyone else, I’ll post my response here as well as emailing Phil:

As far as I can tell, the song is called “Section 9: Light & Day” by The Polyphonic Spree. It’s on their album called “The Beginning Stages Of…” I only know that because it shows the title very briefly in the commercial I linked to. You just have to be able to freeze-frame it.
