How many blogs?

Reader poll: how many blogs and RSS feeds do you check at least once a month?

My answer: I used to be over 100. I then trimmed down to 60, and now I’m back up to 80 again. I check them all probably twice a day. RSS makes that less time-consuming than it sounds, but it’s still quite a task. Part of me wants to cut that stack down to the bare essentials and almost stop consuming altogether (see my previous entry) while another part of me sees the consumption of new media and new input as a catalyst for new creation. So I’m stuck.

I love reading things that help me develop new skills but I find that it consumes so much time. There is so much I don’t know and want to know. Many days I actually wish there was a way to download data from the web into my head like in the matrix when Neo learns all that Kung Fu stuff.

My only recommendation: forget the bare essentials and stick to the inessentials.

Oh, the Timster (do you mind if I call you that just this once?) strikes again. Hehe, nicely put.

YOU CHECK THAT MANY BLOGS TWICE A DAY!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

    Dude. That’s just insane.

I check 17. Probably once a day, but sometimes less.
