Real Majesty

I went to this year’s Winter Carnival to visit the legendary Ice Palace(look at 1888’s!). So, I went expecting Fitzgerald’s Ice Palace and to say the least, I was disappointed. It was a flimsy shell of frost compared to the palaces from the thirties and before.

So not too long after, I was driving down the road through my usual commute and noticed nature’s own ice creations which were much more spectacular than any ice fort. I love red brick buidings by themselves, but one of the buildings I passed every day that I admired unadorned was decked out in shiny ice from the recent thawings and freezings. That was why I checked out the camera with which I played to create the last entry.

I waited until the sky was right and then the building and I, we had a photoshoot. Below are a few of the highlights. Now, keep in mind that I am an amateur photographer and the real beauty of these pictures was that it all was there before I took them. What an amazing hand God has! Enjoy.

These markings must have been from a struggling bird.
