It&#039;s so hard to know when to get your hopes up vs. when a cure has been found that will only help some tiny percentage of the population, etc. I&#039;ve heard of so many &quot;breakthroughs&quot; on cancer that haven&#039;t been the magical cure they thought they&#039;d be, and yet cancer does seem more survivable today than it was 20 or 30 years ago.
