Here’s a review Lightsey Darst wrote on Brown Rocket. She really is a wonderful writer(even if she isn’t “mulling [Brown Rocket] over a few weeks from now.”) Nevertheless, there are some really great quotes in this review that made my stomach and heart switch places.
Seems to me that little Lisghtsey was to overwhelmed with emotion that she couldn’t remember all of the expression that flowed from the performance. It was a great performance and a great story. It was so obvious to the audience that “mulling” isn’t necessary, which doesn’t seem to be the intent of the piece. I loved watching the new Batman movie, but I’m not going to think about it after I walk out of the theater.
