It’s so hard to know when to get your hopes up vs. when a cure has been found that will only help some tiny percentage of the population, etc. I’ve heard of so many “breakthroughs” on cancer that haven’t been the magical cure they thought they’d be, and yet cancer does seem more survivable today than it was 20 or 30 years ago.

Boy, I need some citations in there, don’t I. 🙂
