First, some back story. I, like most people, like to get free stuff. On a fateful day just prior to March 15 I received a flyer in my PO box. It said that if I hung the flyer on my door, I would get free stuff. "Cool! Free stuff!" I thought.
So I hung the flyer on my door and waited for Josh Lewis the DJ to shower me with free items. On Monday night just after 9 PM I heard a knock on the door to my floor. I opened the door with a shout of "Hi Josh: Give me free stuff!" Sure enough, Josh entered the third floor of Getsch Hall throwing free stuff around with reckless abandon. Everyone on the floor was given free CDs, posters, etc... everyone, that is, except me and my roommate. Thinking that maybe Josh hadn't heard me the first time, I once again shouted, "Hi Josh: Give me free stuff!" It didn't work. Below is a picture taken at the scene (click for a larger version):
Josh can be seen in the center of the back row wearing a hat and weird shirt. My roommate is on the far left in the back obviously deeply hurt by the lack of free stuff. I'm the one with glasses and a blue plaidish shirt on the right. I seem to be doing a fairly good job of controlling my grief. On a side note, Bradley Drake (just to the right of me in the back) came out of his room for maybe 15 seconds, and he seems to be holding a free CD.
As Josh was leaving the scene, he gave his card. It had all the information that was needed... (insert foreboding music here).
